		<description>so-by taking away all of the awful pitchers so far...we are still at a 4.23 ERA? I see nothing comforting about that statement...in fact- it is even scarier. if you had said- remove these 5 pitchers and we are at 3.25...then I would say- OK- there is some hope.

But take away the bottom half of the staff and we are still average....yikes.

pitchers making 10 million plus with 4.50 era&#039;s is unacceptable....these pitchers aren&#039;t being paid to be marginal- they are being paid because they are expected to be better than the average pitcher

and Rivera&#039;s ERA shouldn&#039;t even be over 2.00...and right now it is around 4. He has not been lights out...heck- he hasn;t really been good yet... and his stats clearly reflect that. For an effective closer in 2005- see Joe Nathan. Mo- its time to learn a new pitch..everyone knows what is coming.

I still can&#039;t see how Gordon is not #6 on your list. He has been awful and now he can;t even be trusted.

Pavano&#039;s ERA is over 4.00 as well...and yet I said he was decent. A 4+ ERA is not acceptable....

So of course Moose throws a complete game shutout...one small step for Moose.....ome giant leap for Moose-kind

		<description>Whoa.....let&#039;s not get carried away here....

5 pitchers stink....I beg to differ:

don&#039;t forget &quot;longball&quot; Gordon and the fact that Rivera has been marginal at best...3 saves, and just as many blown ones. So that is 7 who have &quot;stunk&quot;.

which leaves-
Moose- inconsistent
Big Unit- very un-unit like- not dominating like he we expect..and has been injured twice already
Quantrill- please- how many runners has he inherited and actually held?
Sturtze- disappointing...and now hurt
Stanton? where have you gone Stanton of 2000?

so- we are left with Carl Pavano....who has been decent at best...but not the Pavano 2004 (which agree may have been a fluke)

The Yankee Pitching stinks- not 5 of 12...but 10 of 12.

Stinks with a capital &quot;S&quot;
