Torre hasn’t done a perfect job, but I hardly think this situation is his fault. Theres just too many over-priced over-the-hill ballplayers on this roster for him to be able to compensate. Essentially Torre’s job right now is to rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic and hope that will keep the boat afloat. I don’t think it’s happening, but stranger things have happened before.

Yeah, I’m not on board with blaming Torre. There has to be a better use of $16 million dollars than firing a manager that most teams would like to have.
