When Giambi is hitting, the Yankees lineup just seems incredibly long.

The Orioles are toast. I really don’t think they are going to recover from these awful past 2-3 weeks. The pitching is just not there. I don’t have much hope for them against Boston.

And, for Lee Mazilli to leave Rodrigo Lopez, his most reliable starter, in the game to get bombed until it was 10-0 was ridiculous. I know his bullpen was thin, but there were at least 3 guys who could have mopped up. He spent about two minutes talking to Lopez on the mound when he finally yanked him. I hope he at least said, “I’m sorry for doing this to you.”

I’d be happy if the O’s and Sox split the four games. Keep ‘em both on the treadmill.

On the pitch, I saw that Flash was taking the credit for it – saying that he didn’t signal location on a pitch and Unit just flipped it up there. Maybe he should start using it on a regular basis.
