		<description>Actually, that&#039;s a funny story.  Dan, the reporter, asked me about Gooden, and his HOF chances.  I thought it was a side convo - not part of the interview.  And, I said no way on the HOF.  FWIW, that&#039;s how it came up.

Jeez...  Had he kept it up, maybe.  The drugs wounded his chances of making it, and the injuries finished off his chances.

A shame, really.  I&#039;ll always remember the skinny 19 year old who was all arms legs and elbows.  The kid with the hellacious fastball, and a curve so nasty, it was referred to as &quot;Lord Charles&quot; instead of &quot;uncle charlie.&quot;
