I was just reading the Kay and Singleton mlb.tv snafu transcript over at Soft Hands (Good job Lupe!) – and I was very happy to see that Ken Singleton thinks that Aaron Small looks like Jim Kaat.

I thought this the first time that I saw him – and wanted to say it here, but, I thought people would not see it as well. I should have said something! Live and learn…….

I heard this conversation and thought it was hysterical. Boys being boys. One concern I would have. I know Kay is not married. What about Singleton. Is he, as the name would suggest, single?

If they are both single I’m sure that such conversation might keep them that way for a while! LOL!

inquiring minds know Kay is a bachelor but Singleton’s on his second marriage. it’s difficult to maintain any sort of relationship with the kind of travel schedule sports announcers have. just ask Marv Albert.

Didn’t Mark Grace get caught talking about “slump busters” between innings a few years ago?

Grace does get the credit for that one.

      thanks!

about the mark grace thing – i didn’t recall this, but a friend related an anecdote about grace getting caught having a conversation like this

broadcaster: what do you guys talk about while you’re standing on first base?
grace: mostly about how much [term for female parts that every woman i know hates] there is in the stands.

      good to know, mark!
