When Mo got the Rays out in the bottom of the 10th, the Yankees brought Womack, Flaherty, and Crosby up to the plate for the bottom of the 10th. Is this what $200 million gets you? As per Mike’s Baseball Rants, this might be the worst three players to hit consecutively in the last century.

Right…. Joe & Mel made RJ groove a pitch, yeah, that’s it. We can’t blame the pitcher, a very veteran pitcher for that, now can we?

As for MO, it has been a horrible six days or so. Two blown saves and a loss in a tie game. But that’s what you get when an aging closer is overused, just what many allegedly knowledgeable Yankee fans were screaming for a week and-a-half ago, why didn’t they use MO that is. Duh!
