This is a shame. I always imagined that if you happened to be outside the Stadium, and did not know who won or lost, that you would always be able to tell by who you heard. Now, that's gone.

==================================

But the billboard alongside the Deegan is there. "WE WIN" when they do, nothing posted when they lose

I'm hoping it's just something they're doing this year in an effort to set the Yankee karma straight, which seems to be out of whack this year. There must be a method to their madness, right?

I actually didn't notice it was Liza until I was I got out to the street. Guess I was still in a daze from work.

I just don't like Liza, so I thought it was extremely appropriate that that was the music played when the Yankees lost. I'd hate to waste The Other Chairman of the Board's music on a loss.

All season they've been switching up the Frank and Liza. It seems to start when they came back from a bad road trip (I can't remember which one, they all blur together). They started playing Liza when they won and Frank when they lost. I think it was the home stand where they started the 10 game streak. So they kept that for a while. (In that same home stand they used a Ronan Tynan recording GBA instead of Kate Smith and they moved Cotten Eye Joe to the 8th inning.)

Then at some point they seemed to just alternate Frank and Liza every night, no matter if they won or loss. Now, I have no clue what they're doing. It seems pretty random.
