You’re right. NY’s chances for the AL East are fairly well gone at this point. For the wild card, their chances look dim not only because they can’t seem to beat TB, but also because Cleveland still has quite a few games left with KC, as has been pointed out a lot in recent weeks, while The Yankees play at TB and Boston. Maybe not hopeless, but pretty darned unlikely.
