This is based on a gut feel, so, it’s probably nothing. But, when your G.M. starts to meet with scouts at this time of the year, it makes me think that a trade is coming.
It would not shock me if the Yankees had a new CF before Christmas.
kotsay or payton?
Don’t get too self serving, please.
I could see the A’s keeping Kotsay – with Swisher and Bradley around him – and using Payton as a sub. I hope the Yankees don’t go for Payton. He’s not their answer for CF.
I think it’s going to be one of those “lesser” names – Michaels, Reed, Matthews, et al.
Except that Cashman’s meeting with the international scouts in Tampa not the major league scouts.
Actually, the reports I saw said it was both – the international ones and then the major league ones.
