		<description>Though he&#039;s reputed to be a Greg Maddux-type, that type of pitcher relies too much on his defense and, frankly, that&#039;s what frightens everyone about Wang and Chacon in 2006. Don&#039;t get me wrong, I like both, but putting the ball in play an excessive amount is not advisable with the Yankees&#039; shaky outfield defense and average-to-below average infield. On the other hand, it&#039;s the type of pitcher Torre seems to like (as well as Stottlemyre...though he&#039;s gone now). Only Torre would consider a dwindling strike-out ratio (see Rivera)a sign of improvement.
