That’s great. I hope it’s true. Great that he was able to think “outside the box” and not hurt himself further by using hips.

1) It’s fake, but funny.

I’m sure it’s not the first time or the last time a ball player got some action at a park. Why do you think they work so hard to get where they are.

This is annoying on so many levels. Is the document real? Well, maybe. It is a good question of how they got it.

But say it is real. So we’re supposed to be shocked that Mantle, who had a sense of humor, wrote something that is clearly meant as a joke? In this day and age, is this shocking?

He was fooling around.

How this ruins that he was an “all-American boy” escapes me. Especially since every woman and girl at the time was fantasizing about doing exactly what he writes about.

By the way, it was a funny joke.

I’ve heard that story before (or something close to it re: Mantle). Len Berman told it on Howard Stern’s show last year when he was hawking his book.
