		<description>When Pavano has been around the team, some players have been exasperated by what they say among themselves is his apparent indifference, citing that he has been a regular on the massage table and is often seen munching candy bars.
===================
Screw them.

They should have more important things to worry about.

This may come as a suprise to some players, but not everyone is a red-ass.

		<description>When two cars combine for $50,000 in damage, it&#039;s just amazing that both parties walked away in one piece.
================
Not really. Consider one vehicle was a 2006 Porsche, and the other was a tractor trailer, a city owned one at that. Neither comes cheap.

		<description>There&#039;s zero chance that the Red Sox will trade Wells to the Yankees.

Back to Pavano, can you just feel the love?

From:  http://tinyurl.com/o5vey

~~~Pavano missed three months last season with a shoulder injury that did not require surgery. He had injuries to his back and buttocks last spring before surgery in May to remove a bone chip from his elbow.
When Pavano has been around the team, some players have been exasperated by what they say among themselves is his apparent indifference, citing that he has been a regular on the massage table and is often seen munching candy bars.
While the team captain, Derek Jeter, said Pavano would be welcomed back, Torre acknowledged he would have to earn the respect of his teammates.
“You have to walk into this clubhouse, dress next to these guys and carry your share of the load,” Torre said. “That’s what it amounts to. If that’s a little tough to do at first, so be it.”~~~
		<description>You&#039;re welcome, Steve.
James, I stand humbly corrected - though, from a legal perspective, the guy&#039;s lawyer is probably doing right by his client.  Whether the guy is seriously injured or not is another story.  That&#039;s why I practice patent law, not personal injury law.
And as for Boomer - no way in hell.
		<description>To be fair, the damage total is partially due to the vehicles involved. I don&#039;t know about you, but I&#039;d need total my car, restore it, come back, and total it again to rack up $30k in damage.
		<description>50 grand in damage, two broken ribs, and an injured shoulder. I guess he figured nobody would notice a little fender bender like that.
		<description>What was that about lawyering up Shaun?
&quot;Carl Pavano&#039;s 2006 Porsche suffered about $30,000 worth of damage in his Aug. 15 traffic accident, according to a police report obtained by the Daily News. The incident may ultimately prove even costlier to the Yankees pitcher, however, since the man in the truck that Pavano hit claims to have injured his shoulder in the accident and has retained legal counsel.
Ernest DeLaura, who works for the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, told the News that, &quot;My shoulder is all messed up. My doctor told me to stay in bed,&quot; when reached by phone today. He declined further comment and then referred a reporter to his lawyer, who said that he and his associates are investigating the situation.
Pavano was at fault for the accident, according to the report, since his car hydro-planed on wet road into DeLaura&#039;s truck. The truck suffered about $20,000 worth of damage, the report said.&quot;
Authorities confirm Pavano car crash
August 29, 2006
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- New York Yankees pitcher Carl Pavano crashed his 2006 Porsche into a tractor trailer in August, causing $30,000 in damages to his car, according to a West Palm Beach police report.
Pavano was driving on a busy West Palm Beach road at 11:25 a.m. Aug. 15 when he hydroplaned, lost control of the car and crashed into a tractor trailer, the report states.
&quot;It was a significant accident,&quot; West Palm Beach police Lt. Chuck Reed said Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, the police department said it was unable to locate an accident report.
A baseball official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the team is just starting its own investigation, said Pavano did not tell the Yankees about the accident until Monday, when a scan revealed two broken ribs.
Pavano, who was driving the Porsche, was at fault, according to the police report, which does not indicate whether any charges were filed or tickets issued.
Reed said there is no record of Pavano receiving a ticket.
Damages to the truck, which belonged to the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, were estimated at $20,000 in the report.
------------------------
There you go.  Pavano crashed into a city-owned truck, driven by a city-employed worker.  Hence why the driver wasn&#039;t on ESPN the next morning in a neck brace with his lawyer.
