Kitty Caught In The Rain

Thanks to the rain, Jim Kaat lost his chance to call one final game.
I think the YES Network should invite Kaat back to do one game in 2007. What’s the harm in doing that and giving the guy one last chance to go out in style?

Um, the night game on Saturday and the day game on Sunday will be on YES — why can’t he call one of those?
Because he’s leaving for Worcester, MA right after he throws out the first pitch tomorrow afternoon for a family wedding.
i believe the sunday day game is on channel 9, WOR. according to yahoo:

To Jen’s point – it’s not because there will not be games on YES or 9, remaining, it’s because Kaat has a wedding tonight and then a planned family vacation that will kill the rest of the season, FYI.
You guys know a lot more about Jim Kaat’s traveling schedule than I do.
And anyway, this guy is going to retire — the rest of his LIFE is a vacation (since he’ll be traveling around). He can’t come back for one game this year so everyone — Kenny, Jon, even Hot Lips (a.k.a. Kim Jones) — can kiss his ass a little and say good-bye?
Well, if he wants it that way, fine, but at the very least I’m sure YES will use one of these upcoming games to give Kitty a little farewell.

Not really bailey, we just read the article
Kitty has decided by his choosing not to do a final game for YES.
He was offered the opportunity, but he declined. I know many fans were looking forward to Kitty’s farewell game, but he has earned the right to go out on his own tems.
I meant to write terms. Sorry.
Anyway, Jim is a class act and we all wish him the very best.
