And, it's not like MoTown is 3,000 miles away. It's not going to hurt Wang to fly back to NY, if needed, for Game 5. It's like a 90 minute trip.

Is that to say the Yanks are supremely confident that they'll either win the series outright or achieve a split? Honestly, that's sheer lunacy if you ask me. It's like flying to Detroit without bats or gloves. How can you leave your best starter behind?

Let's all focus for a second here on the bats.

The Yankee lineup is going to have to save the rotation in either Game 3 or 4. It's just the way the team is built. You build a large surplus in one area to compensate for deficiencies in another across the mean.

I don't think they can win this series unless they score 8+ runs in at least one game. If that doesn't happen then there are obvious holes in this vaunted "all-time" lineup that the stats and reputations don't show.

Seems to me he's won a couple of WS games since then. They're all post season games to me.

Question is, if Yanks lose tonigh, do you bring back Wang on short rest?

Well, with all history and stats put in, an accurate prediction of tonight's game will consist of these things:

* Johnson pitches enough to get Bruney and Proctor in there...

* Rogers gives up enough runs to keep the game tied...

* Rogers keeps the bases loaded for Zimaya with A-Rod coming up to bat (having a huge day already, going 2-for-3 with 2 HRs)...

* Zimaya walks A-Rod to bring in the go-ahead run...

* Our bullpen shakedly hold the lead and the win...

:-)

We'll see though...
