I just came across this blog item:

What I found interesting here, if you look deep enough in this story, is that Dr. Charles Steinberg, the Boston Red Sox Executive Vice President of Public Affairs, has actually created a Google News Alert to capture items that contain the terms ‘Red Sox.’
I wonder if anyone on the Yankees staff is in charge of checking all on-line sources that reference the Yankees? If so, “Hi there!”
Well, if I know that Dr. Charles Steinberg is reading stuff online with the word “Red Sox” in it, then I almost feel compelled to start a website called “Dear. Dr. Charles Steinberg: From me to you – Red Sox s*ck!”
That would be funny.
I’m not trying to be snarky, but I actually thought that’s what you do (for the Yankees, of course) just as I always thought Jamey Newberg does something like that for the Rangers.
Yeah, but, I’m not on the payroll!
Is this guy a medical doctor? Or he is one of those kooky Britsh types who call themselves doctor when all they do is teach hygiene classes in a boys’ boarding school?
I wouldn’t let him staple my ankle tendon, if that’s what you mean.
