The white panel on the sides of the jerseys is not something that I like – but, it’s not something that will ruin my day either.

As far as the hats, I’m OK with the white piping on the edge of the bill. However, what’s with the white edges on the sides of the caps? It looks an old lady’s misplaced drawn-on eyebrows. It’s garish with a capital “G.” I would not wear that cap even if someone gave it to me for free.

It’s called “more crap for people to waste their money on.”

Call me nuts but I actually like the jersey a lot.

The hat – not so much.

I’m surprised to see the white panel on the sides of the jerseys. When MLB redesigned the BP uniforms the last time, the Yankees kept the armpit panel the same color as the rest of the jersey, though many (most?) other teams used a different color. I thought they’d do the same thing this time.

I don’t like the caps at all. I liked the previous BP cap, especially when worn with the corresponding BP jersey, but I definitely won’t be buying one of these. I’ll have to get a closer look at the jersey before I decide on that one.

The Yankees are the only team in MLB that doesn’t have the Majestic logo on their sleeves. I hope that continues.

This “futuristic” look is for the birds.

FWIW, my Yomiuri Giants cap has the piping on the edge of the bill too, but I don’t think it’s a “player’s” cap (not fitted). It has an addidas logo on the side too.

MLB has to learn to keep it simple, especially when dealing with a franchise that has no problem moving merchandise.

No. No. No. Keep it simple. Keep it traditional. It’s perfect the way it is. I travel all over the planet and see Yankee hats everywhere. They’ll sell plenty without making them pink and green (which I hate), or blue with white ears. Would McDonalds use blue arches? Would IBM change the logo from time to time and become Big Brown. When you’ve got the most identifiable sports trademark in the work you shouldn’t fiddle with it.

Nothing on the jerseys yet, looking at the online team store.

I definitely wouldn’t buy one of those caps or jerseys, but I’m not gonna get bent out of shape about it. It’s only batting practice gear.

Ok, I recant my earlier statement. After seeing some more pics from spring training, the hats just look silly.
