Next Up In The YES Booth?
I heard a little bit of Yankees lefty Mike Myers being interviewed on X-M Radio this morning and thought that he handled himself very well on the air. Then I remembered that Peter Abraham once said that Myers was a nice guy and the one in the Yankees clubhouse who organized stuff (like NCAA pools). And, I recall Alex Belth once sharing that he met Myers and found him to be very interested in the history of the game.
Pulling all this together, I would have to imagine that Mike Myers has a career in broadcasting – if that’s what he wants to do – when his playing days are over.
He could be an interesting pick-up for the YES Network when that day comes – again, if that’s what Myers wants to do.

You’re going to have to wait a while. I’m sure Myers will be like Jesse Orosco and pitch till he’s 46.
I’m a little disappointed, seems like Steve is losing his “edge”. I see a nice big piece in today’s Daily News on ARod and I was like, “aww crap, it’s not like Steve needs anymore fuel”.
Actually, that one is on my “to read” list for later.
Get to work…you don’t need to be reading anymore ARod stories. What can you possibly say that you haven’t said already? You can’t make the horse anymore dead than what it is.
Considering that Myers didn’t exactly sign huge contracts during his career he is also a bit more likely to be a broadcaster than say… A-rod
Myers is also the best friend of Wang amoung the older players on the team.
