I swear I am rooting for the wrong team, I swear you guys sound like Red Sox fans. I might be crazy but this team has WAY more upside than downside. I think they have hit their bottom right now and they have been playing better.

They were 8-5 which is .600 baseball and they should be 9-4 which is .692 baseball, since they got robbed of a game with Seattle.

I know it’s Texas and Seattle but still it’s baseball and these things average out over the season. You guys are forgetting in 2004 when Boston won they were like a .500 team right after the all-star break and we aren’t even close to that point in the season yet.

Plus, I don’t know about you guys but I did not expect this team to win it all this year. If they had won this year or they do win I will probably have a similar feeling to how I felt when they won in 1996.

And this kind of reminds me of the 1992 Mets, who swore that the hot streak that would push them to 1st was right around the corner.

There is nothing wrong here that a 10-12 game winning streak can’t cure, and we have the arms and the guns to do it!

Have you done a side by side comparison of 2005 and 2007 yet? I’d be curious to know because I forgot most of the first half of 05.

Don’t conveniently fall back on history waiting for a Sox collapse . This edition, unlike others in the past is built on strong pitching, starting and relief. That is harder to catch because long losing streaks are less likely.So thi may be the summer of wild card watching.
