The really good news on the sked is that while both the sawks and yanks face the dbacks, rockies and giants, the sawks deal with atlanta, the padres, seattle, and a 4 game set with the rangers till early July. We are facing the mets, orioles and athletics.

i think the padres and seattle can cause a little grief for the sawks. they are going to go 4 and 6 or 5 and 5 over a couple of 10 game sets here. The difference between the sawks and yanks now is that the yanks can sweep a series while the sawks will take 2 out of 3, or even drop a couple of series in a row -- witness their dback series. The .650--.680 sawks would have taken all three. Them days are over, hehehehe.

so i'm hoping to do some creeping here, shave off another 4 or 5 games to close the gap to four games at the start of the all star game.

alternatively we can roar back by ripping off nine or ten in a row (my 18 and 3 scenario) and get within two or three. That means we have the boston sport press media screaming at tito everyday "WHAT'S WRONG?" "HOW CAN YOU BLOW A 15 GAME LEAD?" (They'll round off 14 1/2 to 15, believe me).

I would rather save all that for August. Doing it too early leaves open the prospect of a recovery. and this "collapse" will bring us to dead even, so if the yanks do take the east it will only be by 2 or 3 games and they'll be exhausted by the playoffs. Which might just be a good thing, considering last year.

I'd prefer Wang to pitch one game in Colorado, flyballs are going to be hits or homers more often than usual, much better for some Denver worms to bite the dust.
