You’re not the only one bothered by it. And I hope that the FOX guys have the guys come up to the booth for an inning or two.

Few teams have Old Timers Day, and to be honest with you, I am not surprised. Seems the trend now is to honor players or teams.

But it would be nice to see some of the older players get their day in the sun, at least for one more day. They don’t even have to play, just be acknowledged. Remember how big the “All Century Team” went over, back in ’99? That alone should’ve had a good number of teams bringing back Old Timer’s Day.

Baseball is rich in history, the game and teams should do more to embrace it.

I see that Joe Girardi and Kenny Albert are calling the game on FOX, so hopefully Joe will fulfill your wish and can get a few guys in the booth during the game.

I think the Yankees picked the day before FOX did. I believe it’s always the last Saturday home game before the all-star break.
