    ...a frog?

Not bird, nor plane, nor even frog, it's just a little 'ole baseball blog!

The fewest wins by an A.L. Wildcard team, in a full season, was 88 – by the 1996 Orioles.

The Yankees are on pace to win 89 games this season.

Will 89 wins be enough to win the 2007 A.L. Wildcard? I’m starting to think that it could be close to what’s needed. Heck, the Yankees went 87-74 in 2000 and won a ring that season. Anything is possible.

And, of course, a win tonight would help too.
