Zzzzzzz….another media suck-job of those wonderful Boston Red Sox.

By the way, why does everyone call Matsuzaka a rookie? If he wins the Rookie of the Year, I will have a coronary. Hideki Matsui was denied the honor even though Ichiro and Kaz Sasaki had won before him.

Most of the media grew up rooting for teams other than the Yankees and, more than likely, the fact that the Yankees kept their teams from winning championships made them cry salty tears into their pillows many a summer and autumn night. Simple as that. They’re human beings…despite their claims at objectivity.

For what it’s worth, Dayn Perry’s a Cardinals fan.

If Perry doesn’t think the Yanks have the following qualities

      Dedicated ownership
A gifted and varied front office
      Rebuilding while contending
Becoming players in the Pacific Rim
      Building the brand
      Sticking to the plan

Then he hasn’t been paying attention. Ok, maybe they don’t have a varied FO, but I prefer Cashman to the NY-Tampa cabal…

      ‘Sticking to the plan’?

Cashman practically reinvented the *meaning* of that phrase this season. Hughes, Kennedy, Melky – all still in the Bronx and contributing to a playoff chase.

But Theo gives up prospects for Gagne and he can claim the same? Yuck.

Dayn Perry lost a bet, it’s the only rational explanation.

So when the sox pull up a few mediocore prospects (excluding pap and bucholz) theyre rebuilding and contending, but when the yankees win the diision 2 years in a row and are a close second the next year AND have tons of talent like joba hughes kennedy horne edwar etc., thats nothing? Its so disgusting how much sports media is in love with boston. Can we call epstein out for how shitty beckett was last year, or for mr lower-SLG-percentage-than-julio-lugo j.d. drew? how about gagne, the bullpen stabilizer?

This kind of article makes me want to vomit.
