I’m with you, Steve. I stopped despising Farnsworth because of Girardi’s assessment of his stuff. And that says something.

It’s funny — I was all for them hiring Joe after his first stint with YES and his bench coach duties. But now I’m a little less enthused. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but something about his on-air personality rubs me the wrong way. I think it’s that near-automated voice he uses.

Sometimes he says things that I find a little illogical or contrary to the facts. Occasionally I feel like he’s basing his opinion of a player on years-old observations or from nothing but a brief scouting report.

I wouldn’t mind Joe, but I personally hope Donnie gets the job.

Dude, Josh Johnson pitched 157 innings last year. There is no way Girardi ‘abused’ his arm, maybe he’s just injury-prone?

Dontrelle Willis had some outstanding years, but really he has been inconsistent.

Look at the pitcher abuse points. There is no grounds at all that Girardi somehow ‘abused’ his young pitchers. He took a mostly-rookie team and went -FAR- with it. He is a good manager, winning manager of the year in his FIRST YEAR of managing. I hope he manages the Yankees, because he will be the new face of the new dynasty. Joe 2.0.

Who Scott Olsen and D-Train? Was that Joe burning them out, or, him getting more out of them last year than what should have been expected – and this year they returned to form…
