The Red Sox have opted for the eight-day ALDS set-up. This means that the Yankees-Indians ALDS will be played across seven days – and, therefore, the Indians can’t C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona twice in the series on normal rest.

    Here’s the schedule:

Thursday, Oct. 4: Game One at Cleveland
Friday, Oct. 5: Game Two at Cleveland
Sunday Oct. 7: Game Three at New York
Monday Oct. 8: Game Four at New York (if necessary)
Wednesday Oct. 10: Game Five at Cleveland (if necessary)

It’s going to seem like forever, going Monday morning until Thursday, to wait for Game One. And, it’s going to feel empty on Saturday, October 6th, with no game on a weekend-day.

Don’t ask me why I did it, but for some reason, I bought tickets to Home Game 3 (if necessary) of the ALDS. I really just wasn’t thinking.

I know you’ve got REAL season tickets and therefore don’t have to deal with the ticketmaster thing, but do you (or anyone else reading this) have any idea when ticketmaster realizes that these tickets are useless and refunds me?

Your tickets are fancy, by the way, Steve, and I’m mighty jealous.

I would bet that they’ll remove the charge, or give you a credit, quickly. IIRC, that’s what they did for me in 2000 for Game 7 of the ALCS.

Ok. Just making sure I don’t have to call Ticketmaster. I’m bad at that. I really don’t know what I was thinking. And I don’t anticipate having to get refunded for my other tickets!
