“I have a much better package of information than I came here with,” Yankees GM Brian Cashman said. “Now we can go back and consider the options and proceed from there.”
Maybe the Yankees will have a new third baseman within the next four weeks? I would love to see them get someone before A-Rod signs – so that the world then knows the Yankees, without question, will not be part of the bidding.

I was hoping that the Yankees do that too. And for the Sox to resign Lowell. Then we can see what number Boras comes up with without 2 huge players.

I still wouldn’t count out Boston even if they do sign Lowell.

~~~A-Rod > Lugo~~~
I read something today that hinted A-Rod has no intention of going back to SS.
Rushing into a misguided trade of young players just to spite for A-Rod would be a huge mistake. They should wait until the market clears. Until that time, they have Betemit.
Not suggesting to rush things, just hoping that it will get done before Rodriguez signs…
Looks like the Yanks are going to sweeten their deal to Jorge.
