Steve, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Enjoy your holiday and, as always, a million thanks for running the best Yankee blog out there. Enjoy your long weekend!
All The Best Steve.
Yes, a happy Thanksgiving to one and all. Let us all bask in the warm glow of giving and kindness with these words from the benevolent Peter Abraham.
“Meanwhile, future Hall of Famer Josh Phelps was DFA’d by the Pirates. It’s hard to believe that so many teams have given up on the Willie McCovey of our generation.”
God bless his gentle soul.
As the blog’s resident biologist, I feel it is necessary to point out that Turkey + Tryptophan = Sleepy is just a myth. Tryptophan is simply an amino acid, one of many which is removed from animal protein during digestion. It is present in many meats including chicken, pork, and beef. The sleepiness many people feel after Thanksgiving dinner is due to blood collecting in the digestive area following an absurdly large meal. The body is directing it there, and away from the brain, explaining not only the sleepiness but the propensity to watch brainless games such as American football.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all: tyrptophan, glutamic acid, and all the rest!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Steve – and to all the rest of the WasWatching crew.
Thanks guys – hope everyone had a great day!
mehmattski – you’re the 2nd person to tell me that today, so, it must be true!
A little late, but Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope everyone had a good one!
