It's his life. He wants to play baseball 24/7, as evidenced by his staying four games late in the Dominican Winter League. He led the Yankees in games played in 2007, even through a leg injury in September. He drastically improved his defense. That doesn't scream 'lack of work ethic' to me. Unless he arrives in camp 15 pounds overweight, I wouldn't worry about Cano.
