Sure he would have been nice to have in 2005, but he broke down after that year and would have been more dead salary weight. I also don't see how signed Osborne was a bad move. Sure he didn't pitch all that well, but the Yankees did win his 2 starts, and after that he was used in long relief in blow outs (if I recall correctly). It's not like they gave up a lot to get him.
