At least for the upcoming occasion, you're getting 2 people who have great history and continuity with the team.
------------------
Do you think they'll actually talk about the game? I find Sterling & Waldman unlistenable.

What I would like to see is a collection of broadcasters, color men & analysts on both the radio & tv side passing through the booths.

Even more of a reason I miss Scooter...

I prefer baseball on radio. In the Yankees' case, the radio team carries from regular through post season, you have the same 2 people who've seen all 162 regular as well as whatever they can get in the post. At least for the upcoming occasion, you're getting 2 people who have great history and continuity with the team. You don't get that with YES or ESPN, neither of which I consider watchable anyway.
