I Just Heard The Groans Of 57,545 People

Via the Yankees site:

The final Opening Day at Yankee Stadium will have to wait. Rain postponed Monday’s game with Toronto, which will be played on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Betcha less than 40,000 return for the game tomorrow. That retractable dome would have come in handy today.

It would’ve made more sense for this game to be played in Toronto since they already have the retractable roof in place.

Now it’s 20 games in 20 days, just like the assholes at 270 Park Avenue intended. The institution and leadership of major league baseball is corrupt and contemptible.

they need to start these early season games in either the southwest or in domes.

i was in favor of a rectractable roof Stadium: every single game gets played at the date and time it’s intended. no rainouts, no rain delays, no burning heat in the summer, etc. and hey, if it happens to be a nice day, no roof. they dropped the ball on that one.

anyone see the met game? santana had a shaking inning and a half but otherwise he got the job done…the last batter he looked so aggressive

It still hasn’t done anything more than sprinkle in NYC since they called the game. They could have EASILY got it in. Whose predicting weather for Cashman? The same guy whose scouting free agent relievers for him?
