Besides, the Jays haven't done squat since 93. Heck, they finished over 10 games out last season. While they do have talent, as for them putting it together, I'll believe it when I see it.

Lastly,Eckstein has a couple of World Series rings from the past 6 years, how many do Giambi,Mussina, and Arod have?Say want you want but Eckstein is a winning player even if he's a mini-mite!

Any argument made accompanying this statement is automatically disqualified.

Seriously...you just compared David Eckstein and A-Rod. How can you even type that without laughing?

The Blue Jays...I just don't get it. Halladay's declining by the year, AJ Burnett never stays healthy, and a lineup full of the old (Frank Thomas), the injured (Scott Rolen), the underachievers (Vernon Wells), and the overrated (David Eckstein). That's a team that claws its way to 84 wins.Quote
MJ,I do get it!Halladay is a bonafide number 1a ace, what is wang a number 1 but is a 3a!Burnett is a 1a/b pitcher and Pettitte is at most a 2c.Burnett is also playing for a contract,so don't be shocked if he pitches until his arm falls off!Hughes and Kennedy have innings restrictions and Marcum and MacGowan don't!Litsch has a great upside and he is their fifth.Who is unofficially the Yanks fifth?Mussina. What Yankee fans have faith in him?

Calling the Jays old is like calling the kettle Black!Let's compare ages:Overbay is 30-Giambi is 37,Hill is 26 - Cano is 25,Eckstein is 33-Jeter is 33,Rollen is 32- Arod is 32, Stewart is 34,Damon is 34,Wells is 30-Melky is 23,Rios is 27-Abreu is 34, Thomas is 40 and Matsui is 34,Zaun is 36 and Posada is 36! Ther's very little difference in ages between the teams with the exception of centerfield and DH and even then Matsui is no spring chicken.Rios is much younger than Abreu.Giambi is much older than Overbay.IN addition, the Yankees have two relievers like Farnsworth is 31 and Hawkins is 35,the Jays have a bunch of under 30 year old closers.Accardo who is currently closer for the Jays is 26 and Ryan is 32,how old is Rivera?38!

In essence, according to Kevin Long and Andy MacPhail ,the Jays have the best 1-12 in the AL!You can look for faults, but trust me right now the Jays have really good pitching and pitching wins in the end!

One last thing ,let's hope that the lefthanded Yankees don't collectively fall asleep at the same time like last year, because when that happened they went downhill fast and it's a big deal to expect a lot from Hughes and Kennedy and maybe even Igawa!

Lastly,Eckstein has a couple of World Series rings from the past 6 years, how many do Giambi,Mussina, and Arod have?Say want you want but Eckstein is a winning player even if he's a mini-mite!

The Cubs have one thing working against them: Lou Piniella. His lineups are odd and his faith in Kerry Wood as a closer is ludicrous when Carlos Marmol is sitting right there. Having said that, the NL is wide open so any team that finishes with a .500 or better record can be considered a contender.
