All the talk of Giambi coming to camp in shape, etc…same old thing. Giambi just cannot play every day anymore. He’s injury prone and a miserable fielder. Can’t we just make him a part-time DH and be done with it?

And for the time being, I’d much rather see him go on the DL, retroactive to last Friday, and give him a week off where the Yanks can bring up someone to add depth to the bench now that Jeter’s out. Giambi won’t like it but adding another player for a week is what’s best for the team.

A-Rod is not moving to SS. That can of worms will not be opened.

i’m in favor of moving Arod to SS, giving 3b to Betemit/Ensberg for the time being. would Girardi do that, or is DJ’s psyche too fragile?

I think it’s just steve trying to do the old trick of trying to be as negative as possible so that every win, non-injury is that much more positive for him.

Mussina getting pissed off and showing some emotion is perfectly fine by me. I doubt Mussina will play for another team after his time with the Yankees so I would love seeing him become a reliable #3 pitcher. He did a a-ok job today.

I don’t think we Betemit will be a major problem – we could move A-rod back to short and have Ensberg or Betemit play 3B for a bit. It’s nice having position players who can actually play.

He battles back from 3-0 to get out a really tough hitter, Cano can’t make an easy throw to first, Ensberg bobbles the ball, Mussina shouts “goddamnit!,” and that’s a “hissy fit”?
