Squatting requires significant hamstring co-contraction (according to Google). Best bet is to have Molina go on the D.L. and get himself 100% sound before he returns.
Besides, with a bad hammy, it takes the speed factor out of Jose’s game. (Yes, I’m kidding with that last part.)

I think when the Yanks picked up Moeller after Cervelli had his wrist broken you said something like “Man, they can’t find anyone better than this guy?” I believe several us were quick to respond with something along the lines of Moeller only being in camp to catch pitchers who were working out during ST. Well, that certainly isn’t the case now. Credit where credit’s due, you were right, although I’m not sure how many other options were out there. When both of your catchers go down, it’s going to be a bad situation for any team.
With all the talk about the team coming in better conditioned and better in-shape than in past years during Spring Training, this is kinda disheartening. Eh.
Cashmoney will make a trade. There is no way in the blue hell, he lets Moeller catch for an extended period of time. Brayan Pena? Paulino? Somebody will be a Yankee soon, hopefully. Let us pray.
Molina suffered a deep thigh bruise a few games ago as a result of a Joba fastball. I wonder if that caused an imbalance in his movements that precipitated the hamstring pull.
