The Return Of Kei Igawa

I was just about ready to craft/write something snarky here – like my Buzz Bissinger Blogging Instructions Manual says that I should – along the lines of “I haven’t been so excited over the wait for something being over since I was [something snide to be determined]“…when my four-year old son walked into the room, saw the picture of the Igawa Bobble, and asked:
“Hey, Daddy, who’s dat guy?”
Being one who always believes in telling the truth when it comes to the Yankees, I answered “Kei Igawa.” To which my son replied:
“Hmmm. Him look silly.”
And, I believe that just about says it all. Enjoy your Igawa tonight Yankeeland – whichever way it should break for ya’ll this evening.
Two words: sunk cost.
I hope he didn’t pack for a long trip, he should be back in Scanton by tomorrow morning.
I knew Igawa was terrible, but seeing us get shackled by Kenny Rogers is painful.
I turned it off after the first few innings– watching the first 4 or 5 batters in the Tigers lineup tee off on him was not shocking but still nauseating to say the least.
Seriously, is there NO way to get out of this contract and return him to the Land of the Rising Sun?

I heard Bissinger on Charley Steiner’s show on XM today and he casually and clearly used the “F” word out of nowhere. I thought he was against vile behavior.
Something tells me ‘Buzz’ is cashing in on this Deadspin/Costas thing. We’ll probably be seeing him quite a bit the next few months…
