I don’t really have a problem with any of this. Especially with Melky-I’d much rather see him celebrate in the dugout with his teammates than have him stop and stare at the mound. In terms of Joba-he’s just going to be one of those guys his fans love to watch and those that don’t will hate. The thought of Papelbon jumping around and doing twirls makes me sick to my stomach but Boston fans don’t seem to mind.

Like it or not, times change. Goose and White need to come to terms with that. I have.

When my daughter turns 23, I’ll be 63 five months later. And, when my son is 23, I’ll be 65 seven months later.

So, I’m in line with White and Melky.

For the record, Roy White is 64-years old and Melky Cabrera is 23-years old. And, Goose Gossage is 57-years old and Joba Chamberlain is 22-years old.
