In his last 11 games, covering 42 PA, Jason Giambi has the following BA/OBP/SLG line:
.333/.476/.697
Basically, since the Yankees off-day of May 5th, he’s been a force.
I’m guessing that he had a really good Cinco de Mayo.

11 games is still a very small sample size.

“Who Would Have Thought It?”. I did.
For the season, Giambi is 2nd in OBP for Yankees,
just behind Matsui. He is 3rd in OPS behind Arod and virtually tied with Matsui. He leads the team in HRs and if you calculate RBI/AB and (R + RBI)/AB he also leads the team. He is a great Moneyball player.
Because of his BA, he has been villified by more chart room members than I have rarely seen before in language that is not justified. Most underrated player I know of.
