Either way he would still suck...he's a grown man, he doesn't need his teammates to like him to pitch well and if he does then get rid of him...the Yankees bullpen went from being a strength to being a major weakness after losing bruney and moving Joba to the rotation...Farnsworth is not the answer in the 8th inning...and they need to try something else soon...maybe they should just go with the reliever who is "hot" at the moment

I was watching the game last night and even the announcers mentioned that none of the experience Yankee infielders came over to Farnsworth(less) to give him a boost after the (first) double.
===================================
Telling as that may be, it's also nothing to be proud of. I'm sure I'll have to enter the witness protection program for saying this but I've long believed that Derek Jeter is a lousy captain and teammate. If you weren't his teammate from 1996-2000, you don't exist and I think that's a lousy attitude to have.

As toxic as Farnsworth's personality may be, don't his teammates have to try and support him? It can't hurt, at the very least.

The one question I have is why does General Joe have so much confidence in him?
--------------
Probably because they were teammates in Chicago.

Like the expiring contract of Carl Pavano, there is a warming light coming in from over the horizon. It's no moon. It's no Death Star. It's the end of Kyle Farnsworth(less). It will be a day long remembered (heavy Darth Vader breathing).

In this case, I'd go with the soldiers rather than the general.
