		<description>Interesting stat in the Times that according to Elias, the Yankees are just the third team in history to be at .500 at least 20 times in the first 60 games.  Kinda defines average, doesn&#039;t it?

The other disconcerting stat is that the bullpen has logged the most innings in the AL and the starters the least.  I wouldn&#039;t be surprised if that was the case last year so it doesn&#039;t have to be a crippling problem but I think they need Pettitte and Wang to eat innings again, when you know what you&#039;ve got with Mussina and Joba will be on a count at least two times.  Plus Kennedy and Hughes will probably have restrictions at the start when they are healthy.

So the challenge is keeping the bullpen from imploding from overwork.  A traditional Yankee offense would ease that stress but its still MIA.</description>
