I don't know how much they are paying WasWatching.com to link this putrid SNY content, but whatever it is, it isn't enough.

You would think with a MLB team with the players the Yankees have, with all the issues they've face, you could come up with something to say that wasn't idiotic and required the audience to pretend they don't know major facts like "Alan Horned is returning from an injury that put him out 6 weeks". Golly, I wonder why he isn't pitching in NY ?

if Horne didnt go down with his biceps injury, he'd be pitching for the big club right now... prob would have been called up for that start in Detroit where Igawa started.

i think its prob a little bit of both. they want Horne to properly rehab that biceps injury, and they need him to be healthy in order to keep up his value, should they need to use him in a trade.

it does the organization no good to push him thru his rehab too quickly, and ask too much of him too soon, and then have him reaggrevate it, or cause an injury to another area of his arm or body as a result of overcompensation... because if he gets hurt again, he cant pitch for this team or be used to help get a guy who can pitch for this team.

I guess someone dropped stupid pills in Salfino's coffee before he wrote that. He oh-so casually mentions that Horne missed six weeks with an injury. Oh, what a MINOR quibble! Give me a f-cking break. The idea that Horne has fallen off the team's radar is so inaccurate it's moronic. He's their number-one, show-ready pitching prospect outside of the Big Three. But his control isn't fully back yet since the injury and that's why he's not pitching in the big leagues. Plus Giese was killing it in AAA and then held his own piggybacking Joba's starts and EARNED his start yesterday.

i have a feeling that soon we will go from no pitching to too much pitching and players like horne will be traded. I say do it if it helps the major league team.
