Me? I have to think that anything less than 14 has to be seen as a disappointment. I’d like to see them win at least 15 games in July. Will they? Well, that remains to be seen…

Steve, I looked back at your post about the month of June. IIRC, you said that at minimum the Yankees should win 14 of the games between that date and the first game against the Red Sox. They need two wins against Texas to match that “minimum” number of games they were supposed to win.

As for July, I see it this way:
1 of the 2 against Texas
    Split with the Sox (2)
    Split with Tampa (1)
    Win against Pitt (1)
    2 in Toronto
Split vs Oakland and Minnesota (3)
    1 in Boston
2 in the last four games against Baltimore and LA

That’s 13. But really, if they are going to make the move in July that you believe is necessary, I think they have to win 16, minimum.

    Ah, yes, that post: http://tinyurl.com/49axs9

Well, FWIW, they did lose one game off the schedule…with the rainout in Pittsburgh. So, I suppose 13 wins now would be OK…

But, I never expected the wins to come the way they did…I would have liked to see them more spread out…than come in the bunches…they way they did…

Yeah, seven game winning streaks are terrible for the team…
