Like I mentioned the other night, this has the feel of the 1992 Mets, where they were expecting to reel off a 10 game winning streak "any day now" to get them back into the race. They were saying that until August

It's starting to get late, guys.

All things considered, these Yankees have held it together quite well. The injuries to Jeter, A-Rod, Posada, Hughes, Kennedy, Wang etc.; the disappointment of Hughes and Kennedy early on; the minor league pitching staff they are battling with... Hitting is a streaky part of the game. These Yankees WILL hit and I am sure you agree. Loved the run differential analysis

There's not a whole lot of promising things on the horizon for this team. Basically we're getting the average from the players - our BP is beat up we lost 3 major pitchers and our offense is spotty. You can't really fault anyone in particular as everyone has a hand in the results of the team.

Girardi has done a good job keeping the team afloat and getting good results. However, we haven't seen any standout performances yet.

Also don't forget that Posada has been injured and Damon/Matsui are fending off injury issues.

We're going to need 2-3 arms. Batwise you can't really replace anyone because there aren't too many available people who would provide an immediate improvement.

It's a weird year for sure
