I don’t care that much about stolen bases, though there is a time and place for them. But I love having a guy who can score so easily from first or second base, depending on where the ball is hit. Just get on base, with the rest of this offense Gardner will be a huge help on the basepaths.

Good call gphunt! That was my first thought as well when I saw the posting. Granted, it’s probably because of when I grew up, but I remember Jeter, Knoblauch, and Soriano as the big baserunners for the Yanks.
