Having friends that are parents, and knowing the preparation involved with scheduling a night out, he has my sympathies

Thanks. I felt worse for my buddy, Mike – who I was supposed to go to the game with…

I was going to pick him up, on SI, on the way. He even had a babysitter set up for his kids until his wife got home. So, because of the traffic, he had to eat all that too.

My buddy was there at 4:30 and he said it was smooth sailing – right over the bridge, no problem.

So, based on the time I was there, I’m guessing that it was the get home from work rush that could have led to the accident.

Timing, as always, is everything.

Sorry you had to endure that. At least you didn’t have to eat a bridge toll. I know you’re from down there, but I don’t like Staten Island at all. Mainly because it’s so difficult (and expensive!) to get there from where I am (Bx/Westchester). Having the ferry not carry cars anymore doesn’t help matters much either.
