Mark Down Today’s Date Yanks Seek Lefty For Pen
Jul 21

Please consider taking the following poll:

As of the start of July 21st, the Yankees trail both the Twins and Red Sox by 2 games in the loss column for the A.L. Wildcard lead. The Yankees also play their next 6 games against the Twins and Red Sox. Is this now the biggest week of the 2008 season for the Yankees?

  2. DJ21996 Says:

2 games out on July 21 means that no situation is make or break.

Now, if we were 7 or 8 games out. Then it would be make or break.

~~2 games out on July 21 means that no situation is make or break.~~

But, if they lose 5 of the next 6, that would put them something like 6 back in the loss column with 58 games to go…

So, they really cannot afford to get their tails kicked over the next week.

  4. DJ21996 Says:

even still…6 games with over 2 months is nothing.

Its basically making up one game every 10 days. Stay calm Steve..we are in a good position, a position that nobody expected us to be in a month ago.
