You may want to make a stop over @ Bronx Banter. Quite a few people, myself included, feel that way. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet (even the Red Sox, who are usually pretty shrewd when it comes to pickups like this haven’t bit). Even more surprised considering Jay Gibbons recently caught on with the Brewers.

Blake is one of those unfashionable players. But when you look at his numbers, you can see why teams would want him for the stretch run.

I would be ok with a move for Blake.

Jon Heyman actually made the same recommendation the other day, saying that both NY teams could be looking at Blake, although there’s no insider information to confirm that.
