If you hear any noise, it's just me and the boys...

If the Yankees are going to lose to the Sox, I can't think of a better scenario than for Ponson to get lit up vs. Lester.

~~Oh, Steve–as far as Sir Sidney is concerned: “Zero point zero.”~~

Ah, if only that was his ERA and not his GPA.

TurnTwo is absolutely right. Cashman will drive an ever harder bargain with the Mariners now as their options dwindle toward the deadline.

The M's do not want to be saddled with Washburn's $10 Million next year. They'll deal.

repeat after me... two out three... two out of three.

they play 66% baseball the rest of the season, they'll win, give or take a game, 96 games. that punches your ticket for the playoffs.

i think Washburn would take the place of Ponson, and they'll give Rasner a couple more starts because of this stupid Rasner/Moeller thing they think they have going.

Ponson gave the Yankees exactly what they needed, which was a bridge to the trading deadline. he's now expendable, and i expect him to go shortly. he wasnt very good by any means, but he kept the yankees in the games he pitched for the most part, and thats about as much as you asked from him when you brought him here.

and for those of you who think Cashman is going to cave and give in to the Mariners are crazy. he'll hold out, just like he did for Abreu with the Phillies, and they'll get fair value, which will be a mid-level guy and salary relief.

Goodbye Sidney, goodbye!

Hello Ian.

Wang in the wings.

Make of it what you will.
