July 30th vs. The Orioles

Ah, a laugher…always good for the soul.
Just a side note…Kay, Flaherty, and O’Neill (in the YES booth) were convinced that Edwar Ramirez went after Kevin Millar on purpose. Hey, I’m all for moving this dolt off the plate – in fact, the Yankees are five years too late in that department. But, there’s a way to do it…and perhaps a better time too.
With the Angels coming to town, Edwar Ramirez cannot afford to get himself suspended…now.
Stupid move.

Didn’t think it was intentional, didn’t seem that way from the upper deck.
If it was “revenge” it was a stupid move, but I don’t think it was intentional.

Flaherty and O’Neill really felt that it was intentional – based on ER’s non-reaction to the ump tossing him.
To which I have to ask, when has ER ever shown a reaction to anything?
Ramirez’s and Cabrera’s ejection the night before were ridiculous. Molina would later be hit and nothing happened. Did Flaherty & O’Neill mention anything regarding intent in the broadcast?

Any appeal can postpone the suspension date to a more convenient time. I am not worried.
Guys in NYC usually don’t have the luxury of being able to put it off for too long…because Watson, IIRC, is close by.
It’s the guys in far off places like KC and Arizona who get to delay these things until visits to this area, again, IIRC.
Meh… In theory, the Yanks have enough arms in the pen to withstand the loss of Ramirez for a few days. Girardi just has to let his pen men pitch more than one inning.
