I was there last night and it was ugly. Pettitte had nothing, the defense looked apathetic, and even though the Yankees hit some balls hard off Garland, somehow, he was able to keep them off their game last night. Pudge couldn’t make a good throw to save his life. It was an all-around miserable game.

Funny moment: after a strikeout, Pudge initiated an “around the horn” but threw to Giambi at first instead of to A-Rod at third. Giambi caught it and tried to throw it to Jeter but, as we all know, he throws like a girl. The ball sailed in the air and then short-hopped Jeter where he had to short hop it and trap it between his glove and his stomach. Giambi can hit but where did he learn to throw like that?

The Yankees have lost their real game on six of their last nine OTD’s – when a game was played. (There was a rainout in ‘06.)
