I know Kennedy stinks, I’m sure everyone reading this blog knows he stinks, but why haven’t the Yankees figured that out yet? He’s like the budget version of Kei Igawa.

I saw the quotes of Kennedy in the Post and could only think of the scene toward the end of Bull Durham when Crash tells Nuke that major league hitters will light him up like a pinball machine, but you have to stay arrogant.

I mean, “my first bad start since the All-Star break” when all of those starts were at AAA?

Steve, I think IPK will be long forgotten, or toiling as a number 5 in a city like Pittsburgh, long after Hughes has established himself as a legit major leaguer. I don’t know if Hughes will reach his potential or not but I don’t think Kennedy will ever amount to much, and whatever it is, it won’t be in New York.
