Will someone from the leadership of this team take responsibility for this season? Will someone be held accountable?

It’s the offense!

After the debacle tonight, it’s clear that the Yankees are categorically an inept team and that the despicable Red Sox are nonetheless a much-better-run organization with good minor-league talent.
So therefore, aside from Girardi, let the purge begin. Cashman, Oppenheimer, Contreras, and all others who grossly overvalue Yankee prospects, can’t draft, can’t develop effective pitchers, and who are maniacally insistent on trading for or obtaining players who can’t play because they’re laid up indefinitely after requiring surgery.
Spend as much on effective front-office executives as on free-agent players. Overpay them to come here if necessary. Stop counting on Hughes and Kennedy; at this stage, they may never rise above AAA.
Please let’s end the grossly incompetent nightmare that is the Cashman regime.
